The Wasserschloss

The Water Castle of Switzerland (German: Wasserschloss) is the region where the confluence of the river Reuss into the Aar and 1km downstream the confluence of the river Limmat into the Aar are located (altitude 330m), in Vogelsang, municipality of Gebenstorf 47.495°N 8.236°E.

After the confluences, the Aar carries a mean value of 555m3/s, whereof 315m3/s are brought by the Aar, 140m3/s by the Reuss and 100m3/s by the Limmat. This alluvial site is protected by law since 1989.
